CORONA CHAMBER 14 CORONA Business News November/December 2017 www. My Chamber.org T Native American Veteran Memorial he Riverside National Cemetery Support Committee (RNCSC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to provide up-keep and support to the Riverside National Cemetery while providing activities for veterans, their fami-lies and the community. Memorials built at Riverside National Cemetery are built and maintained with private funds. The RNCSC has provided funds for the cemetery’s Medal of Honor Memo-rial, POW/MIA Statue and Plaza, and the Soldiers Memorial. They have also provided funding to repair and maintain the Fountain and provide golf carts to transport handicapped visitors. The RNCSC has raised mil-lions of dollars to honor those who have served our country, and their work continues. The RNCSC hosts numerous events each year, such as the Con-cert for Heroes event and Memorial and Veterans’ Day ceremonies. They also provide services for the families of veterans, such as the Remem-brance of Love Project, and provid-ing the Indigent Unclaimed Veter-ans Ceremony. The RNCSC needs help to gath-er funds for their current project, a Native American Veteran Me-morial. They are working hard to achieve their goal of $3.5 million for construction, plus enough for an endowment fund for maintenance. This is in addition to the $300,000 the RNCSC needs annually to meet their existing commitments. Corona Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors member Jim Gore of Vulcan Materials is also on the Board of the RNCSC. On behalf of the Commit-tee, Jim invites all to find out more by visiting their website, rncsc.org. Con-tributions can be sent to: Riverside Na-tional Cemetery Support Committee, P.O. If we want to be truly healthy, we need to be aware of the people we choose to spend our lives with. When it comes to relationships, we are greatly influenced, whether we like it or not, by those closest to us. It affects our way of thinking, our decisions and our outlook. Being around negativity and anger breeds the same. Being around positivi-ty and hope reaps its rewards for sure! Healthy relationships create a healthy being and encourage us to be our best self in the work place and at home. We are stronger to-gether. Mind. Body. Spirit.
