HEALTH & WELLNESS The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center (CRMC) began in 1933, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. The hospital is now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It employs more than 1,000 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 300 physicians representing more than 40 specialties. These are progressive times for CRMC. In the past year a new Emergency Room, with four times more space for advanced care, was completed. The Emergency Room features a rapid medical evaluation area, an internal waiting room, multiple entry points, a private section for pediatric patients and a new imaging center with MRI and a computed tomography scanning machine. A sure sign of the success of CRMC are the patient satisfaction scores that have risen dramatically in the last year. This is a direct result of new processes that have been instituted to address quality initiatives. CRMC has been awarded the Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award for 2017 and has been rated among the top 5% in the Nation for patient safety for the past two years. CRMC has successfully responded to our community’s longing for a facility with an improved medical delivery system. They are committed to continually implementing improvement to fulfill patient needs. CRMC is most deserving of the Corona Chamber of Commerce recognition for Health and Wellness Business of the Year. RETAIL One of our Nations great business success stories is headquartered in Corona. DeAnne Stidham was a single mother raising seven children when she started LuLaRoe. Her desire to make a living while working from home fueled her dream of creating her own clothing line. Today tens of thousands are selling garments created by DeAnne’s company, LuLaRoe. The company’s name is created from a combination of the name of three of DeAnne’s grandchildren. LuLaRoe is a network based marketing company that offers thousands of different designs and style to their sellers (independent retailers), for resale to a vast customer base. Garments are produced in limited quantities so that each consultant has a different selection of merchandise. Customers realize this and are anxious to purchase unique designs that sellout fast. Independent retailers utilize different methods to introduce the LuLaRoe line including in-person and on-line parties. After purchasing clothing articles from the company, each independent retailer establishes their own pricing. DeAnne Stidham, who works with her husband Mark, says that LuLaRoe exists to provide an opportunity for people to create freedom by selling comfortable, affordable, stylish clothing, and offering its consultants the independence to set their own pace and schedule. DeAnne is delighted that this system allows LuLaRoe independent retailers to fulfill the same goal that motivated her to start the company, to spend more time with their families. LuLaRoe employs over 700 people at their Corona headquarters. The Corona Chamber of Commerce is pleased to recognize them as the Retail Business of the Year!
