(SOUTHERN CA ASSOCIATION OF CHAMBER OF COMMERCE EXECUTIVES) TO HOST THE ANNUAL VOLUNTEERS, BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND STAFF TRAINING The CORONA Chamber has been selected by the SCACCE (Southern CA Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives) to host the Annual Volunteers, Board of Directors and Staff Training on Thursday, April 28, 2016. For a fourth consecutive year, the CORONA Chamber will be the host Chamber for this event at Eagle Glen Golf Club. “We are excited about hosting this event again,” says Mark Peabody, Chairman of the Board for the CORONA Chamber. Each year the CORONA Chamber has encouraged their entire Board of Directors to attend, along with many other volunteers who may someday serve on the Board. “Realizing the latest and greatest information is shared here, and best practices for Chambers and other non-profit organizations are reviewed. It is right here in our back yard – we encourage everyone to register to attend.” This one-day intense and interactive leadership training event is focused on providing strategies to building an effective and dynamic leadership team for your organization. Designed to assist the volunteers who serve on boards, to expand their thinking, become more visionary and innovative juices flowing, enabling the organization to move forward and meet change head on. Attending this session will be chambers from throughout Southern CA. The session will begin at 9:30am with featured trainer and facilitator Dave Kilby, Executive Vice President for the CAL Chamber. Topics include: Chamber Trends, roles and responsibilities, keys for an exceptional leadership team, and other “cool” stuff pertinent to the Chamber. While the program is geared towards Chambers of Commerce, there are key elements that are very worthwhile for individuals who serve on other non-profit boards. The training session includes a working lunch and concludes by 2:30pm. Registration will be $95 per person, but discounted through February 16 to $85 per person. A special golf package will be available for those wishing to stay after the conclusion of the training.
